Hooray...Cooper is One Today!

Hey, everyone!! I know...it has been too long since I updated the blog. Keep watching because I have a million that are going to pop up before this one in the next week or so. I have started a million but just haven't finished them or had the time to post pictures...so Thanksgiving and Christmas pictures are coming. But anyway, today is Cooper's first birthday. I can't believe that my baby is one. I actually broke down crying last night while I rocked him to sleep an looked into that sweet little face. All that I could think of was how much longer is he gonna let me rock him to sleep like he does right now? This year has went by in an absolute blur...It has been the most wonderful time in my life. But where has the year gone? Seems like we just captured his first smile...the first time he rolled over...the first time that he crawled... the first time that he pulled up and any day now we are gonna get to see the first time that he takes those careful steps on his own. He has taken a few steps and is balancing without holding on to anything but he is still scared to just take off. Everyone was over today to celebrate with us. It was a wonderful time and was full of excitement. He totally went totally head all in to the birthday cake...he wasn't wasting anytime with trying to crumble it all up with his hands, I mean he just went for it!! haha...It is amazing...He is a wonderful child...The absolute love of my life...Apple of my eye....Happy Birthday my little precious one! Mommy and Daddy love you to the moon and back! Pictures will be posted soon!

The Beach (Floirda Family Vaction February 2009)

My entire side of the family took off for Florida on February the 8th. We stayed in Orlando at the beautiful Lake Buena Vista Resort and Spa. There is a full size pirate ship IN the middle of the pool with a tube slide down the middle (JELOUS? You should be! haha). We had six wonderful days of 80 degree weather and beautiful blue skies. This is the first vacation that Jason and I have taken in almost five years so it was wonderful to just get away and relax. We were hesitant about traveling with Cooper and were not sure if there was anything at all that we could do with a little one that takes at least two naps a day but decided that it was worth a try and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. We didn't do much but hang by the pool and relax....just what we needed! That is really my idea of a vacation. We decided to fly into Orlando while my parents and my siblings drove the 14 hours. That is a decision that I definitely DO NOT regret...It was worth every penny we paid for those flights. We found out that Cooper must be allergic to swimming...haha...Not really he just fell asleep every time we got into the pool or near a pool or near the ocean. We will have to watch this once he gets old enough to trek out there on his own. I mean I got into the water with him twice and within 10 minutes he was out like a light on my shoulder. It was so sweet! We also got to spend time with Jason's cousin Nancy and her precious little girl McKenzie! We had such a wonderful time with everyone. I think the older little kids got a bit tired of each other and aggravated each other to death but other than that who knows when we will all have a chance to do this again...(I say I'm in for next year...haha)...So these are memories that I will always cherish
