People try to explain the feeling to you, but you really don't get it until you experience it! The instant that you lay eyes upon your child and the overwhelming feeling of love that rushes over you is amazing. I have to admit that I am a little infatuated with this little guy that has totally changed my life in the last three weeks. They have been the most exhausting, yet joyous times of my life. I asked my friend Jennifer just last night, "Why doesn't anyone tell you how exhausted you are these first days and months?" and as she explained, it is something that you can't explain or put into words for someone and you don't because then nobody would ever want to do it! I would do it again in an instant, despite the exhaustion and the sheer and utter pain of labor. I would do it all again to get this amazing child! Don't get me wrong, I am not one of those women that are like I don't even remember the pain....Because let me tell you, I REMEMBER the PAIN!! But is was fleeting and the reward was tremendous!
