This past weekend (October 25-26), Jason, Cooper and I went up to Smithville to our friends Rod and Melinda's (yes, there are two of us, watch out!!) lake house. We haven't gotten away in almost 4 years...Not ANYWHERE...So this was a really nice little mini-vacation for us. They have 17 acres right on Center Hill lake and the house is up a steep embankment and you truely feel like you are living in a tree house. We had good company and good food and if you have never been to Smithville, it really is a charming little town. On Saturday mornings all these local town people set up little booths all around the town square and sell fresh produce and barbeque and crafts..EVERY Saturday! I just loved this little town...Go check it out if you have a chance!
